CALL FOR PAPERS
CONFERENCE OUTLINE
Information and Communications security is a challenging topic at the best
of times. The Third International Conference on Information and Communications
Security (ICICS’01), after two previous conferences ICICS’97 in Beijing and
ICICS’99 in Sydney, is to be organised in a famous historic city -- Xian
in China. ICICS’01 covers all aspects of theory and application of information
and communications security. ICICS’01 is sponsored by Chinese Academy of
Sciences, National Natural Science Foundation of China, and China Computer
Federation. The conference is organized by Engineering Research Center for
Information Security Technology in Chinese Academy of Sciences in co-operation
with International Association for Cryptologic Research (IACR) and
Asiacrypt Steering Committee, and ICICS Steering Committee.

INSTRUCTION FOR AUTHORS
Authors are welcome to submit their anonymous papers electronically to the following address in Postscript or MS Word format: icics01@ercist.iscas.ac.cn
Authors also can send 4 copies of their anonymous papers to Prof. Sihan Qing at his postal address. For anonymous review, the cover page should contain author’s contact information. The paper should start with title and abstract without authors' names, affiliations, acknowledgment or obvious references. Full papers are limited to 12 single-spaced pages of 11pt font.
Panel proposals should include a title, an abstract which describes the topics to be discussed, names of all proposed participants and assurance that the participants agree to serve on the panel.
Authors who submit abstracts for 5-minute talks should include a title, all authors' names and their affiliations in the abstract and mark "5-minute talk" on top of the abstract. Authors of selected 5-minute talks will be invited to submit short papers to be included in the proceedings. Proposals for short papers must not exceed 4 pages.
The final version will be requested in electronic form by 20 July 2001. By this date authors will be requested to have a confirmed registration to the conference.
Conference Proceedings
The proceedings of ICICS’01 will be published in Springer-Verlag’s Lecture Notes in Computer Science series and should be available at the conference. The authors of papers therefore are urged to comply with the SV Authors Instructions which are accessible from http://www.springer.de/comp/lncs/authors.html
